“This was no mean feat given the very variable weather in spring, including some record cold temperatures. The tomato is the heirloom variety and is known as an early fruiting variety and has certainly lived up to its claim. I planted it in our greenhouse in mid-September and it’s flourished. We are growing basil too and that’s also flourishing in the greenhouse.”

“What will I grow? Some children did planting in our new Winter Gardenz greenhouse today. First they put the potting mix into the pot then they had to decide what seeds they where going to grow. They could choose from cucumber or flower plants. After you put them in the pot you have to give them some water. Then we put them into the Winter Gardenz greenhouse to watch them grow!”

However, my latest crop of Winter Tomatoes is outstanding and really worth emailing a photo. This photo was taken last weekend in my greenhouse with the 7th August Herald in front. The tomato plants are over 1.5m high and are now fruiting. Not bad for mid-winter and all the frosts we’ve had this year.”

“We bought our Winter Gardenz greenhouse almost 2 years ago and live in an area that is prone to very strong winds and it has stood up to all that nature has thrown at us.  Last winter we had several minus 4 degree frosts but the temperature inside the greenhouse was still warm, and with the vents and doors open this summer, the plants have remained healthy & productive even though everything is suffering from the heat and bugs in our outside gardens.  It has proved very good for raising seeds & propagating cuttings as well. Many thanks to a great company for an excellent product.”
